This New Old Stock day dress is late 1950s to 1960s vintage. It is the kind of dress that every American homemaker wore - simple, comfortable and easy to care for. With modern eyes, we can see nicely done details that are not found in today's "Fast Fashion". The silhouette is a simple shift, with fit adjusted and waist defined by use of the matching sash tie belt. The upper bodice has nice shirtwaist-type details, with a flyout collar, yoking front and back, and short sleeves that can be rolled or cuffed to the preferred length. The dress has a large patch pocket below the waist on the right.
