Depeche Mode is an electronic rock band from England that has been in existence for over 40 years since 1980. After numerous member changes, the band has been a trio of Dave Gagne (vo), Martin Gore (key, g), and Andy Fletcher (key) since 1995, and has a passionate fan base all over the world. In May 2022, Andy Fletcher, a founding member of the band, passed away suddenly, and it looked as if the band would cease its activities. However, the two remaining members decided that it was important to complete the album that they had been working on with Andy since 2019, after the release tour of their last album, "Spirit" (2017), and in addition to James Ford, who also worked on the previous album, Marta Saloni, who worked on Bjork, Black Midi, etc. With James Ford as producer, the band completed its fifteenth studio album, Memento Mori, a collection of 12 songs.Memento mori" is a Latin phrase meaning "Do not forget that you will surely die (someday)" or "Do not forget your death.
