ABOUT THE COLLECTION Palm Beach Collection Spring 2024
In the mornings at the Breakers there is always a delightful grouping of people in an admirable state. As they relax with their coffee or orange juice or as they wait on their families to arrive from upstairs before heading to the Circle for breakfast, they put down their tennis bags and chat quietly to each other. People sit and read newspapers (yes, the real physical newspapers. They still make them! and people buy them!) The part of Florida I love the most, is the fleeting glimpse at old Florida; the way life was once. Simpler. This is a place and moment that feels like a glimpse of that old Florida.
A perpetual muse, a perpetual sense of wonder for me and my paint brushes: Palm Beach. Each time I visit this island I wonder if its magic will ever wear off on me. It doesn’t. It’s every bit as dazzling as it ever has been. With each iteration of Palm Beach, my perspectives develop, deepen. Each time I arrive in Palm Beach, I turn a corner and see a composition I haven't captured and it drives me to my palette. Some scenes I've painted several times, others are new endeavors – but each is special and delightfully Palm Beach.
ORIGINAL ARTWORK: Each original painting has been painted on 140 lb French watercolor paper with a variety of high quality pigments that show off the brilliant color of each location. The paper and the pigment come together to give a truly unique artwork. There is only one of each.
