ECM is pleased to announce the release of a new album by a quartet led by Benjamin Lackner, aka Benny Lackner, a prodigy who has carved out a niche in the contemporary jazz scene with both his compositions and piano playing, and who has been praised by his teacher Brad Meldor for his "clear, fresh, and clear compositional style. The quartet, led by pianist Benny Lackner, whose first tour in Japan in 2016 was well-received, will be joined by Norwegian trumpeter Matthias Eijk, who represents ECM in the 21st century, French drummer Manu Katche, who has been active at the forefront of the music scene for many years, and bassist Jérôme Lackner, who has supported Lackner as a trio member in the past. The trio will be joined by Norwegian trumpeter Matthias Icke, one of ECM's leading trumpeters of the 21st century, French drummer Manu Katsch, and bassist Jérôme Lagarde, who has also supported Lackner in the trio.
