Like the Backland skis and boots, the Backland FR SQS ski pole was designed and developed with input from freeskiing maestro Chris Benchetler.  Made out of ligthweight aluminum and featuring burly and easy-to-manipulate Power Locks, this pole adjusts from 110-130cm.

Updated this year with a no-slip ergonomic grip, the pole really stands out on account of its SQS safety release system. The strap immediately releases from the handle under tension, hopefully preventing injuries if things go wonky. And if you need to repair or tinker with your binding in the field just grab the built-in screwdriver for a wee bit of backcountry triage.
