Wine is deeply rooted in the Pataille family’s heritage. His father owned vineyards in the Médoc, while his brother is a respected producer in Burgundy. Laurent, however, has forged his own path, patiently refining his understanding of viticulture, vineyard management and precision winemaking. During his five-year tenure at Château de Tracy, he developed a philosophy that combines modern farming techniques with deep respect for traditional practices.

Today, the estate is farmed organically, with each parcel treated individually to preserve its unique identity. It is these precise techniques that has enabled the 2023, Marsannay Es Chezot to present as a beautifully delicate and perfumed wine. Aromas of violet and rose lift effortlessly from the glass, while the palate is supple, refined and elegantly textured.
