Elegant bop pianist Tommy Flanagan, who has participated in numerous masterpieces as a "masterpiece contractor," has made Enja his home since the late 1970s and is now producing his own masterpieces on this collection of his best works. This collection is filled with his familiar piano playing, including "Relaxin' at Camarillo" from "Eclipso," which brought him to prominence as a leader, and "Giant Steps" from his original recording of Coltrane's "Giant Steps.
