Why this kit matters
The Battle of Austerlitz, fought on 2 December 1805, is one of Napoleon’s most celebrated military victories. It’s known as the “Battle of the Three Emperors” because Napoleon’s French army faced the combined Austro-Russian forces under Tsar Alexander I and Emperor Francis II.
This battle set captures some of the fiercest fighting around the village of Sokolnitz (Sokolbitz), particularly the granary – a key point in the battle. The combination of MDF architecture and detailed infantry figures helps modellers build a historically accurate and visually striking scene.
How to use it
Use modelling glue to assemble the MDF building and plastic figures. Once assembled, paint the building and soldiers using historically accurate colours (Italeri gives recommended shades). Arrange the figures to recreate a lively diorama of the Sokolnitz engagement. You can display the completed scene on a shelf or as part of a larger tabletop wargaming layout.
Gift Suggestion
This kit is best suited as a gift For Him or For Her who enjoy historical modelling, wargaming or Napoleonic history. With its many figures and detailed building, it provides a satisfying challenge — but it’s probably too complex for very young kids.
This is a plastic and MDF model kit. Assembly, paint, and glue are required. It is not a toy.
