These 4" Blackline heavy-duty ratchet straps are built to outperform standard straps in strength and durability. Made from industrial-strength polyester webbing with a 24,000 lb. break strength and a 6,670 lb. working load limit, they are 23.5% stronger than typical 4" straps.
The webbing is designed for superior abrasion resistance, featuring a reinforced edge made from concentrated webbing to slow wear. (Edge protection is still recommended.)
Both the ratchet assembly and wire hook end fittings are zinc-plated to resist corrosion and add protection from the elements.
Wire hooks—also known as double J-hooks—are stronger and more durable than standard S-hooks. Their slim profile makes them a versatile choice for applications where anchor space is limited or connections are harder to reach. They attach easily to D-rings and other narrow anchor points, offering a secure, reliable connection.
All of US Cargo Control's ratchet straps are tagged and stenciled with the working load limit to meet FMCSA and DOT regulations, CVSA and WSTDA guidelines, and North American Cargo Securement standards.
Learn more about proper load handling and securement in the WSTDA safety bulletins.
According to the WSTDA (section 4.6.8): "When using web tie downs with a winch or ratchet, a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 wraps of webbing shall be wound on the winch or ratchet mandrel. Excessive wraps of webbing on the mandrel may reduce the working load limit (WLL) of the web tie down and may interfere with proper operation."
