Debut album from a New York-based male-female duo. Released on the long-established guitar-pop label Elephant, this album surprises with intoxicating slow and dreamy pop that sounds like a screwed-up Margo Galyan. The fragile female vocals are reminiscent of Men I Trust, but rather than a city-pop lightness, it is more in the vein of 60s-70s daydreamy psychedelic femme fatale like Nico, Claudine Longier, or Margo Galyan. The production, an eclectic mix of holiday music/mood music and dream pop by the likes of Francis Ray and Three Sons, is definitely of the new generation. The album contains 8 songs in total, including 5 singles that were previously released digitally and 3 songs that are being released for the first time, and is a newcomer with a high degree of perfection, including the world view of the music video and jacket.
