What to Expect?
This is a 166-page insight into the work of Marcelo Bielsa. The book is structured with the principles of Bielsa, what are the key principles that define his work? What Formations and structures do his teams look to use? The book then looks at some of the in-possession and out-of-possession characteristics of his unique playing style. 

As the contents show, there is then a look into Bielsa's famous 'Beat your Marker' moves and how these can be used with your players from u8-Senior football.  The book then provides an in-depth look into the coaching sessions used to develop players. This is from individual practices to the unit and team sessions.

Session Plans
Each session is detailed with key coaching points that will allow the coach to understand the rationale behind each practice. Each practice will be designed with a different intent. Remember, always start with Why? Why are we performing this session? In this book, we will look to provide real clarity as to what is being trained and why and how you can implement it with your players.

Each session then provides clear 'Game Moments' to help create more realistic sessions. So there is an understanding of where the session links to the game. If the practice does not link to the game, is there relevance to delivering the session? With this book, we have really tried to explain the Why? and the link between game and practice. 

What to Expect?
You might think that a Bielsa book would be highly tactical and difficult to translate into youth football. Think again. A lot of this book includes fundamental technical detail around passing and receiving, and retaining. These are fundamental skills that players of all ages must be able to perform. These fundamentals will allow your players to understand how to exploit and create space. Once they have created this space, they will be more effective in the 11v11 systems.

Each session has a detailed explanation of what to expect from the session, how to progress the session and how to structure the session within your practice. If we are able to get all of these things right, we should be able to provide an environment and practice where players are able to learn, prosper and develop.
