The album consists of choral works written by teachers and composers from the Queens College of New York "Aaron Copland School of Music". The school commissioned the compositions to celebrate its long history, and since many of the pieces were based on the motifs of "peace" and "praise," only pieces based on these two words were selected for recording and compiled into a single album. The languages used vary from Hebrew, Latin, Italian, English, and Chinese, but each song has a strong message that reaches directly to the hearts of the singers and listeners, and conveys the "prayer for peace" of all those involved in the recording, including the performers and composer.
