The Ocean table is a very popular table from Mater, which is a reimagined design from 1955 with an updated touch. The designers Joergen and Nanna Ditzel has focused on an innovative solution to prevent the pollution of the oceans. This is due to the use of the ocean plastic waste in the production of the Ocean products. This series of both the Ocean chair and the Ocean table is characterised by a light structure and a simple metal frame.

The Black and Sand slats are made from discarded fishing nets mixed with recycled hard plastic. One table contains 1300g / 46oz ocean plastic waste.
