Norwegian saxophonist Trygve Seim's sixth ECM duo work, originally released in 2010, is reissued." Modestly subtitled "Songs for saxophone and piano," the recording features new musical settings of some of the Mass pieces, folk songs, dramatic music, improvisations, and a new version of Seim's soft-breath piece "Bhavana" (premiered on Different Rivers Quietly covering much of the repertoire, including a new version of "Bhavana" (premiered on "Different Rivers"), in the mid-1990s pianist and composer Andreas Utnem, who was working with the Norwegian Church Cities Mission Foundation, invited saxophonist Seim to a church service to improvise around variations on the Psalms and to perform his and This is the first recorded work by the two, who have been working together for 14 years since they played some of Trygve's compositions.
