Kyoko Togawa
Description:
A masterpiece album derived from the unique duo of Koyo Konishi of Shibuya-kei and Tetsuji Hayashi of City Pop! Kyoko Togawa's 2nd and 3rd albums released on SIXTY RECORDS are reissued for the first time. This is the second album after transferring to SIXTY RECORDS, released a year and a half after the previous album "Tears". In the previous album, Tetsuji Hayashi and Koyo Konishi had participated in the album with separate songs, but in this third album, they worked together with gusto as co-producers. Keitaro Takanami (Keitaro), a member of Pizzicato Five at the time, joined the band on the chorus, and Kyoko Togawa herself translated Jane Birkin's song "Yesterday, Yes A Day (Shadow of Sadness)," a single cut from the soundtrack of the 1977 French film "Madame Claude," into Japanese. The album contains a cover version of Jane Birkin's song "Yesterday, Yes A Day (Shadow of Sadness)," which was cut as a single from the soundtrack to the film. Original release: 1990, latest remastering in 2023, commentary by Eiji Nagai
