The year 2010 is the Chopin Year, a year in which Chopin has been a hot topic not only in classical music but also in the world music scene. 2010 is also the 25th anniversary since pianist Miwakie Koyama won a prize at the Chopin Competition. In October, Koyama will travel to Europe as a jury member for the 16th International Chopin Competition to be held in Warsaw.
