The artist's poetic homage to the profound symbolism of the black rose, this enchanting fragrance is a captivating exploration of the beauty that thrives in the depths of darkness. Diverging from its 2010 version, the namesake of this fragrance has undergone a nuanced transformation in its 2023 version. The black rose accord takes center stage, imparting a more subtle presence. This subtle evolution, dancing seamlessly with other notes, adds a layer of sophistication to the fragrance.

Unlike its predecessor, the burning embers in this rendition do not read as smoky but rather subtly evoke the elemental presence of fire. This delicate dance is complemented by the woody mix of rosewood and cedar, further enhancing the fragrance's depth and complexity. A hint of Bulgarian rose and a swirl of black honey decorate the dry down, lifting the darkness ever so slightly. This version is less heavy than the 2010 version, with more of a vintage feel.
