Norah Jones
Description:
A limited edition deluxe edition of Norah Jones' seventh studio album is now available. Her songs are deep, sad, and beautiful. After 2016's "Day Breaks," Norah Jones had no intention of releasing a full-length album, and had been away from the "making an album" routine for some time. I had been away from the routine of "making an album" for a while, with no intention of releasing a full-length album since "Day Breaks" in 2016. However, he found that the songs he had been experimenting with and writing in sessions were not a collage of disparate pieces, but were held together by the groove of the piano trio and the lyrics that moved from disappointment to hope. So they decided to reinterpret the idea of presenting music on an album, and to face again the "album" that they had tried to keep away from themselves. Nora says, "I had the Rough Mix on my phone and listened to it when I walked my dog. Then I couldn't get it out of my head. And then I realized. I realized that each song had its own mysterious and consistent characteristics. It was as if I was in a dream that was happening somewhere between God, the devil, my heart, my country, the earth, and me, and I was swept away in a fever," he said. I don't know if I just happened to be in that zone or if I got that feeling from the various sessions. But last year I was in the most creative mood I've ever been in." This year, Nora began putting the final touches on the album, including strings and harmonies. By fundamentally changing her approach to how music is made, Nora found new sources of inspiration, and although she co-wrote a few songs, she wrote all of the lyrics herself. Nora also produced 9 of the 11 songs on the album. The other two songs ("I'm Alive" and "Heaven Above") were produced by Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy, who has been a driving force in US indie rock since the 1990s, and Jeff also wrote the lyrics for those two songs with Nora. Nora has previously worked with Jeff on projects such as #songofthemoment. The core of the album was completed in the early stages of production with drummer Brian Braid, who is a close friend of the artist, but there are no fixed band members throughout the album. The standard version of the album plus bonus tracks. Includes the standard version + 2 bonus tracks "Street Strangers" + "Tryin' To Keep It Together" 7" paper jacket with sheet music for 3 songs "I'm Alive", "Flame Twin", and "Hurts To Be Alone".
