They use branded protection from D3O, which moulds to the body using the warmth of your body heat, but goes hard on impact to offer protection. This makes for a really comfortable user experience. The Freeride Lite vest is a simplified version of the standard Freeride vest. By removing few features like the waist band, the second D3O pad and mesh fabric they have lost a load of weight and massively lowered the price whilst keeping the same D3O back protector.
