Joy Orbison, the most important UK garage house producer of the decade, has completed her first full-length album! After making his debut with the club classic "Hyph Mngo" in 2009, the lone DJ/producer Joy Orbison, who has been passionately supported by underground dance music scene all over the world, has released his first full-length mixtape "still slipping vol.1" with 14 tracks on [XL Recordings]! still slipping vol.1" is out now on XL Recordings! The tape, which sums up his music career at this point in time, has been a leader in the underground music scene, especially in the UK garage and dubstep post-movement, while leaving behind a number of masterful 12" singles. Recorded at his Walworth Window studio in southeast London, the album features collaborations with up-and-coming artists such as Heron, James Massiah, Bathe, Lee Seng, Goya Gambani, and Tyson, who all fit the genius's aesthetic.In addition, the voices of family members recorded in voice memos appear as monologues, including his uncle Ray Keith, a jungle/drum'n'bass legend, and his cousin LeeAnne, who appears in the artwork of this album and who gave the young JoOusama his first taste of drum'n'bass and UK garage. The result is a soul record that is not only supreme dance music, but also a record that brings the personal scenes of the main characters to life. The Japanese CD version includes an additional bonus track, commentary, and bilingual lyrics.
