Common name: Lenten Rose

Description: Helleborus x hybridus 'Winter Sunshine' is a warm and cheerful lenten rose producing lovely nodding flowers in pale primrose to golden-yellow tones from mid-winter to early spring. The warm, sunny flower colour is uncommon among hellebores and provides a particularly uplifting display during the bleakest months. An evergreen, slowly spreading clump-forming perennial, it thrives in shaded and woodland-style borders and is both deer and rabbit resistant. A wonderful plant for bringing warmth and life to dark corners of the garden in winter.
