The Birkenstock Milano has a leather-lined, contoured footbed which molds to the shape of feet, creating a custom layer that supports and cradles every step.  Like all Birkenstocks, the footbed has a raised toe bar is designed to encourage the natural toe gripping motion, exercising legs and aiding circulation.   This sandal has a neutral heel elevation with a deep heel cup to distribute body weight more evenly.  Remember that cork footbeds can be damaged by exposure to concentrated heat.
