Description:

This is the ECM debut album by NY-based Tel Aviv-born saxophonist Oded Tool! He has made albums with Shai Maestro and others, and has told many stories with his smooth and gentle tenor saxophone sound. He is heavily influenced by his musical studies with master bhansri teacher Hariprasadhu Chaurasia, and the Indian concept of raga is subtly embedded in his elegant compositions. This album is a quartet work with pianist Nitai Hershkovits, also from Israel, bassist Petros Klampanis from Greece, and American drummer Jonathan Blake, recorded in Lugano, Switzerland, with one song (a cover of Elvis Presley's All of the songs are original by Tool except one (an Elvis Presley cover).
