Overview

The Live Alarm 1625-R is a wearable personal voltage warning aid for 16.6 and 25 Hz AC rail power systems (typically 15 kV).

It is designed to warn the wearer of the presence of high voltage by sounding a loud alarm as they approach live equipment.

Safety note: The Live Alarm is an additional warning aid. It does not replace approved safe systems of work, isolation procedures, training or personal protective equipment.

Key uses:

• Warning personnel who may approach live high-voltage equipment.
• Operational work where equipment believed to be dead may remain or become live.
• Searching for downed conductors or hazardous voltage sources after storms or faults.

How It Works

Each Live Alarm has a factory-set alarm distance from a specific voltage source. Alarm distance depends on voltage level and distance from the source.

The unit emits a 70 dB alarm every half second as the wearer approaches live equipment.

The unit is fully automatic and designed to be clipped to clothing, belt or pocket. Low power consumption allows long battery life, with a low-battery warning alarm.
