In the early 1970’s, Air New Zealand when looking for there first long range wide body opted for the DC-10 over the other widebodies on offer as it was considered more suitable for the long range and smaller load factors than a 747 would offer. This aircraft was the last of eight by the airline. It was delivered in November 1977 and flew with them until 1982 when it was leased to LanChile.
This model aircraft is made from die-cast metal and include extensive detailing. It is similar in quality to Inflight200, J-Fox, Gemini Jets, Phoenix Models, JC Wings, and Aviation200.
