ProRep infrared heat projectors have been developed specifically for use with reptiles. They emit virtually no visible light but instead convert energy as heat in the form of near-wave and mid-wave infrared to heat reptiles and they're enclosures. Being short wave infrared this allows the energy to penetrate deep into the epidermis, dermis and subcutaneous skin layers of the reptile which modulates the biological activity deep within the tissues, cells, and mitochondria of the animal increasing activity, neural response and cellular repair.
