Released in 1971 Weather Report's first album, Weather Report, released in 1971. Weather Report, the first album by Weather Report, named after its own group. The sound of the three geniuses, Wayne Shorter, Joe Zawinul, and Miroslav Vitous, who took the initiative, is free and airy, transcending nationality, genre, and generation. Each piece, including "Milky Way," a collaboration between soprano saxophone and "piano strings," still has a tremendous impact on the audience. As the band was formed by former Miles Band members Joe Zawinul and Wayne Shorter, this album is an extension of the Miles Davis albums "In a Silent Way" and "Bitches Brew," and further expands on the line of Miles Davis' "In a Silent Way" and "Bitches Brew.
