These 4" Blackline heavy-duty ratchet straps are designed for maximum performance and durability. Built from industrial-strength polyester webbing with a 24,000 lb. break strength and a 6,670 lb. working load limit, they are 23.5% stronger than standard 4" straps.
The webbing provides superior abrasion resistance, with a reinforced edge made from concentrated webbing to slow down wear. (Edge protection is still recommended for best results.)
Both the ratchet assembly and the flat hook end fittings are finished with a black powder coating that adds corrosion resistance while giving the hardware a professional look.
Flat hooks provide a wide contact area that evenly distributes tie down force, making them a dependable option for most loads. Each hook includes a built-in defender to reduce webbing wear and extend strap life. Blackline flat hooks are also 1mm thicker than typical flat hooks (6mm vs. 5mm), offering extra strength to handle demanding securement jobs. If your trailer lacks a rub rail or anchor space is limited, a different hardware option may be a better fit.
All of US Cargo Control's ratchet straps are tagged and stenciled with the working load limit to meet FMCSA and DOT regulations, CVSA and WSTDA guidelines, and North American Cargo Securement standards.
Learn more about proper load handling and securement in the WSTDA safety bulletins.
According to the WSTDA (section 4.6.8): "When using web tie downs with a winch or ratchet, a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 wraps of webbing shall be wound on the winch or ratchet mandrel. Excessive wraps of webbing on the mandrel may reduce the working load limit (WLL) of the web tie down and may interfere with proper operation."
