Justin K.Broadrick was one of the first members of NAPALM DEATH and made a huge impact with his songwriting and performance on the A-side of their first album "Scum" (1987) when he was only 17 years old. In 1988, he formed GODFLESH, a band inspired by THROBBING GRISTLE and KILLING JOKE, fusing hip-hop-inspired thick machine beats and heavy guitar riffs with industrial metal. In 2002, the band broke up due to mental illness, and Justin continued to play under the name JESU, but in 2009, the band restarted as GODFLESH. Since then, they have released two studio albums and toured Japan in 2012 and 2015.He has been pursuing dreamy heavy music with a new interpretation of shoegaze with JESU, down-tempo/techno with JK FLESH that has passed through dubstep, and experimental music with ZONAL that has reunited with his old friend Kevin Martin (THE BUG) from TECHNO ANIMAL. ZONAL has been pursuing an experimental side while taking over the TA line. Justin spent most of the pandemic period working on this latest album, his first in six years, and it directly recalls his 1992 masterpiece "Pure," with its thick hip-hop-inspired beats and swirling heavy guitars.
