Full length sizing is recommended for all rifle cases. Neck sizing can lead to overexpanded cases and reduce reloading times as it weakens the brass. A hard, smooth sizing surface that is consistent in sizing, especially head-spacing is of the utmost importance.

Drop-In Mandrel Shaft

The .223 sizing die includes a drop-in .223 rem mandrel shaft - Swiss-machined, heat treated to 50 Rockwell, and extremely strong. The mandrel expander shaft ensures uniform and consistent case mouth expansion for proper bullet seating.

The threads inside the shaft will accept either a Mighty Armory decapping pin or a pointer. The pointer is used in place of the decapping pin. It protects the shaft threads and acts as a guide when sizing the case.

The mandrel shaft sits concentrically inside the die bore with three points of contact: The free bore, the angle and the flat of the top. The first modular die in the reloading industry that ensures lockup with the cap.

Decap and Size in One Pass

The one-and-done sizing and decapping of your .223 Rem / 5.56 NATO brass will be effortless. The .223 sizing die includes a primer flicker cap and two .078" diameter decappings pins. The die will easily decap and resize over a million cycles. Turn the reloading die into your press, turn the die down or up and easily set shoulder bump from zero to -.005.
