Pinnacle offers prefabricated headmounts with platinum iridium or stainless steel leads for 2 EEG/1 EMG recordings in mice. The headmounts are affixed to the skull with stainless steel screws which also act as EEG electrodes. EEG electrodes have posterior placement for increased hippocampal theta detection and bilateral placement to maximize recording of delta activity during sleep. The headmount is sized for adult mice (20-30 grams) and will reduce surgery time to less than 20 minutes. EMG leads easily insert into the trapezius muscles. Headmounts are not reusable.
