Hornby - OO RailRoad Rothery Industries Ex-GWR 10
This strange engine was created as a one-off prototype for experimental testing as an oil-burning locomotive in 1901, intended for service on the Wrington Vale Light Railway in Somerset, but following conversion back to coal-burning the locomotive ended up spending its working life, incommunicado, at Swindon railway works as a works shunter. Carefully designed to be less easily damaged, yet maintaining the attractive detailing and accurate liveries one would expect, the Hornby Railroad range is ideal for both the younger enthusiast and experienced modeller alike at an affordable price.
