• You will receive a set of six 8-oz mason jars, each filled with our handcrafted organic brown rice flour and vermiculite mushroom substrate enriched with sulfur, calcium, and worm casting tea.
• The jar lids are equipped with a self-healing injection port and a .22-micron gas exchange filter for optimal growth conditions.
• Our jars are meticulously sterilized, cooled, and individually shrink-wrapped to seal in moisture and freshness, with the added benefit of containing any potential glass breakage during shipping.
• Safely store the sealed BRF jars in the refrigerator for up to 4 months, possibly longer. We've even achieved success with year-old test jars that were refrigerated.
• After harvesting the first flush of mushrooms, simply soak the mycelium cakes in bottled water and refrigerate for 12 hours to reactivate and initiate a new round of growth. You can expect to enjoy 2-3 flushes (waves) of mushrooms from each case of jars.
• Included with your purchase is a 15-step guide on how to effectively use this product.
• Please follow the recommended practice of inoculating each BRF jar with 1-2 cc of your preferred spore solution. Always ensure you shake the syringe thoroughly and flame the needle before each injection. Once injected, keep the jars in a cool, dark place with a room temperature between 68°-78° until fully colonized. Note that this is a general guideline, and specific incubating and fruiting temperatures may vary based on the mushroom species you are cultivating.

Our brown rice flour mushroom substrate jars contain a carefully blended mixture of brown rice flour and other ingredients designed to support mushroom mycelium growth. Mycelium, the vegetative part of the mushroom, spreads throughout the substrate, absorbing nutrients and forming the mushroom's fruiting body.

The substrate mixture is sterilized within the jars to eliminate any potential competition from bacteria or other organisms that might hinder the mushroom mycelium's development.

The mycelium network breaks down nutrients within the substrate, eventually giving rise to the familiar cap-and-stem fruiting body that we commonly associate with mushrooms.

Please note that spores are not included with this kit. You must use a needle and syringe to inject the spores into the jar; no other method is suitable for this process.
