Triceratops was one of the last dinosaurs to appear in the Late Cretaceous. Like other members of the Ceratopsid family, these large quadrupeds sported bony frills, horns, and beak-like mouths.

This specimen is a fossilized piece of a Triceratops Frill, recovered on private land in South Dakota from the Hell Creek Formation. These fossils date back over 64,000,000 years to the Late Cretaceous and were once a part of the iconic dinosaur.
