Description:
The 60th anniversary of his debut. A poet and a rock'n'roller, two personalities meld together on this masterpiece.
The fourth release on Sony's own integrated production line of analog records is Bob Dylan's seventh album, released in 1966. It was the first two-disc set in rock history to reach No. 9 in the U.S. and No. 3 in the U.K. It is often regarded as the masterpiece of Dylan's long career, blending his two inner personalities as a poet and a rock 'n' roller. In addition to hits such as "Rainy Day Woman" (#2 on the U.S. singles chart), "I Want You" (#20), and "Like a Woman" (#33), the album is a masterpiece that has left its mark on rock history, with creative and ambitious experiments throughout, including "Roland's Sad-Eyed Maiden," which uses all of one side of the LP. The Band, who would later work together on this album, also joined the band. Most of the recordings were recorded in Nashville and produced by Bob Johnston.
