Be still my heart! This 1920s vintage dress is gorgeous. The overall silhouette is loose, but there is some subtle shaping with darts at the bodice sideseams and at the slightly-dropped waist. The floral devore panel down the front elongates the look, as well as adding an Art Deco flare. The skirt section of the velvet panel is pintucked below the waist, opening up for soft fullness at the bottom 2 feet of skirt. The capelet collar drapes gracefully over the upper arms - it is styled with multiple pintucks at the front neckline as well as a few in back.
The dress is shown over a white satin 50s slip - the slip is not included with purchase. The dress can be paired with a variety of slip colors to change the effect.
SIZE: When considering the measurements, keep in mind that the dress should fit loosely and the fabric has no stretch.
| Measurements | Inches | Cm |
| Bust | 40" | 101.5 |
| Waist | 29" | 73.5 |
| Hips | 45" | 114 |
| Bodice length from shoulder seam | 17" | 43 |
| Skirt length | 38" | 96.5 |
| Sweep | 78" | 198 |
FABRIC/COLORS: Hot pink chiffon, light as a feather, with a panel of tone-on-tone devore velvet, aka cut velvet or burnout velvet. I don't have access to a fabric snippet for a fiber burn test, but my instincts say silk.

CLOSURES: Left sideseam placket with hook & eye at the waist plus 2 snaps
CONDITION: There is an old repaired tear at the back of the right armhole - see closeup. The area is not obvious during wear, and is also camouflaged by the capelet. On my third inspection, I also found a pinhole in the right bust area - see closeup with arrows - and a few (4-5?) small holes near the hem - see closeup of largest, which is on the wearer's left.
