[Count Basie New Basie UHQCD Collection] A documentary film about Shoji Sugawara, the master of "Jazz Cafe Basie" known to jazz fans and audiophiles as a sacred place where one can hear the best analog sound, "Jazz Cafe Basie: Swifty's Ballad" (in theaters nationwide from May 29). To commemorate the release of the film, the store's namesake, the Count Basie Orchestra's classic and rare recordings are being reissued in high-quality UHQCD format. All recordings were made in the 50's and 60's, the golden years of the "New Basie" era, and are considered holy grails by big band enthusiasts.
