US Indie SSW Steve Gunn's latest and greatest work, with a great lineup of guests! From Kim Gordon, Kurt Weill, and Riley Walker to Mike Cooper and Michael Chapman, Steve Gunn, a talented SSW/guitarist who has received praise from old and new artists, has released his sixth original album on Matador! The album will be released on Matador! Recorded in LA between late 2020 and early 2021, the album features 11 tracks produced by master producer Rob Schnaff, known for his work with Elliott Smith and Beck, along with his close friend Justin Tripp. The album features 11 tracks, including the title track "Other You," a kaleidoscopic blend of soft guitar layers and Gunn's voice that blends Philly soul and classic country, and "Reflection," a blue-eyed soul track that stands in a vast cosmic elegy, lulled by a languid electric piano. Reflection," the album's leading track, brings out a glorious sonic palette that has not been present on previous albums, and focuses on the appeal of the lead singer's voice.Guest musicians include Juliana Barwick, Mary Lattimore, Bridget St. John, Jeff Parker, Bill McKay, Ben Bertrand, and drummer Ryan Sawyer (TV on the Radio, Thurston Moore, Gang Gang Gang Dance).
