The Hamptons
There is something about The Hamptons I immediately fell for. I didn't' intend it.
It was in spite of my best effort to be rather unimpressed; I fell hook line and sinker. Bewitched, bothered, and bewildered; what a beautiful and so American place.
Inspired by time spent during the Summer meandering down streets and peaking through hedges and dazing into the sunshine sparkling through the trees. The Hamptons Collection is another unintended collection that bubbled to the surface from admiration and a sudden rush of falling in love with a place.
ABOUT THE PIECE: Something about the Summer in the Hamptons made me wild about this really bright yellow as an accent. I painted in on the borders of my signage for my live events at Polo and at the Parrish Art Museum. These pieces are not particularly The Hamptons, but they are certainly influenced by the experience, so they get honorary place in the collection.
