Sonny Rollins
Description:
A popular series of album covers featuring rare photographs of jazzmen from the golden age of jazz taken by white photographer William Claxton. The album cover photo was taken in Los Angeles in 1957 during the album photo session for "Way Out West". The final photo was the famous one of them dressed as a cowboy with a tenor on his hip. The original release was Way Out West. This is the piano-less album that defined Sonny Rollins' popularity. The popular disc "Newk's Time" was added as a bonus album.
