Ballistic panel options

The StreetFighter ships as a bare harness or with one of two LOF GX Ballistic soft armor configurations. The NIJ 0101.06 GX Ballistic Level 2 and Level 3A panels each slot into a low-profile internal access point at the chest, shoulder, and body positions. Panels are ultrasonically sealed using coated Nylon, making each insert fully waterproof and sealed against foreign debris. The same internal access point also accepts LOF SX Spike/Cut Resistant armor panels rated to NIJ 0115.00 SX2 or SX3, allowing the handler to configure the vest for the specific threat environment of each deployment. Panels remove in seconds for cleaning or panel swaps without tools.

Shell construction and thermal management

The harness shell uses MILSPEC mesh throughout, providing continuous airflow and rapid water shedding during operations. Embedded Outlast Thermal Management Systems™ fabric — a phase-change material technology — actively regulates the K9's body temperature to prevent heat exhaustion during extended wear. Contoured shoulder straps are curved and anchored at a geometry-specific angle so the harness molds to the dog's shoulders and neckline, eliminating pressure points and chafing without restricting movement.

Hardware and attachment points

AustriAlpin™ COBRA® buckles are fitted OEM throughout the vest, providing load-rated quick-release and the structural capacity to deploy the K9 in high-angle situations. Four forged V-rings — located at the front and back — are each rated to 4,000 lbs and prevent carabiner cross-loading, giving the handler positive control during lifts, lowers, or rapid extractions. An adjustable drag handle is secured with steel hardware and reinforced stitching. Four elastic loops and a sewn web platform allow attachment of chem-lights, electronic strobes, or light beacons.

MOLLE coverage and capacity

A reinforced laser-cut PALS system runs along the exterior, accepting standard MOLLE-compatible pouches so the K9 can carry water, medical supplies, leads, or rappelling hardware. Two integrated 4”x7” loop sections on the PALS platform accept hook-and-loop tactical patches for unit identification or custom messaging.

High-angle upgrade — QR K9 Leg Harness

An optional QR K9 Leg Harness upgrade converts the StreetFighter into a full rappelling and rope-work rig. What plate or panel sizes fit in this vest?

The StreetFighter does not use standard human plate sizes. It accepts LOF's proprietary GX Ballistic soft armor panels (NIJ 0101.06 Level 2 or Level 3A) and SX Spike/Cut Resistant panels (NIJ 0115.00 SX2 or SX3) at the chest, shoulder, and body positions. All panels are specific to the StreetFighter platform and sized to the individual vest order.

Does this vest come with ballistic panels included?

What is the difference between the Level 2 and Level 3A ballistic panel options?

Both panels are interchangeable within the same harness shell and are fully waterproof due to ultrasonic sealing.
