What's Welsh for "Alright Pet"?

The team at Ancre Hill Vineyard aren't just trailblazers for Welsh winemaking but they're also leading the way for organic and biodynamic viticulture and viniculture in the British Isles -a nd they're bloody lovely people too.

Their wines have a bit of cult following and this

pétillant naturel ( Pet Nat) is worth snapping up whether you're a natural wine fan or just up for something a bit different. 

It's made from the curious Triomphe  grape and the wine is red, fizzy, juicy, funky and fruity (think a wild, Welsh Lambrusco!) And it's certainly a triumphant tipple!

Ancre Hill take the new vintage's juice and blend it with previous vintage base wines whilst still fermenting. Primary fermentation then finishes in bottle producing a lightly fizzy wine of between 2 and 3 bar pressure.

Drink it chilled at your next house party or for more relaxed musings with cold cuts or canapés.
