I used to be a very good cribbage player, though am now quite out of practice, but I definitely appreciate a good folk art cribbage board when I find one, and this is quite an unusual one, too. (It's not a very hard game to learn, and just requires a deck of cards in addition to the board, and really we need more cribbage players in the world!) A deck was sacrificed in making this one, with the corners of jacks of each suit cut and inlaid into to corners of the board, and then a carved and painted trump next to it (I like that on the black side the placement of the club and spade were reversed.) The board itself is unusual for having just ten holes per row, meaning that that one would have to run the length of their side four times to get to the 121 to win. I am not entirely sure what the P.L.U carved at the end of each row stands for, but I think the "G" at top of the outside row marks Games won. The pegs were hand-carved and are all present, and it's ready to go! (Or just to make a singular addition to a folk art game board collection!) 

9 5/8 x 3 1/4 x 1 9/16 (not counting pegs). Very good overall condition, with light general wear and pretty minor surface scratching here and there, not at all detracting. I'd guess 1940s or so. Found in Tennessee.
