From 1909 to 2011, Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) stood as the U.S. Army's flagship medical institution — a place where more than 150,000 active duty and retired service members received care on 113 acres in the heart of Washington, D.C. Named for Major Walter Reed, the Army physician who proved yellow fever was transmitted by mosquitoes, WRAMC became synonymous with military medicine at its finest.
This tee is a tribute to that century-long legacy — worn by those who understand what it means to serve, sacrifice, and heal.
In 2011, WRAMC merged with the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda to form the tri-service Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) — carrying forward a tradition of excellence that began over a century ago. The original campus now lives on as the Parks at Walter Reed. This shirt carries that history with it.
Wear the mission. Honor the institution.
