I know that this dragon fragment from an incredibly intricate mixed metal overlay on an antique Asian table, Chinese or Southeast Asian I am not sure. At first, based on the color, I thought it might be hide, but it is definitely metal, though brass or bronze or silver I am not entirely sure; from what I understand the table incorporated all three. I love how ancient it seems to me, and how to resist a winged dragon, especially one with this wonderful arrow at the end of its tail? 

3 7/8" l x 1 1/2" t, with much aging to the metal giving it a (to my eye) beautifully crusty surface, but no real loss that I can see and in stable, delicate condition.
