STAINLESS: Enduro Bearings produces certain series of bearings made with stainless steel 440C steel balls. This material offers maximum corrosion resistance under all conditions. Depending on the application, either Abec 3 or Abec 5 grades are used. Stainless steel balls have 20% less capacity than the 52100 steel balls used in most of our bearings, but they do offer better corrosion protection. Enduro Bearings uses a CRC marine grease in these bearings for added protection against contamination. LLB: Our most popular seal, consisting of a rubber seal with a metal core. Unlike the standard 2RS, we go a step further by machining a groove into the inner ring, where the seal can rotate with excellent efficiency and resistance compared to a lesser bearing. Rather than a single, thick sealing lip that rubs against an uneven surface, the LLB type uses two sealing lips, fine as a razor blade, that slide into a groove with light contact. The outer lip keeps out water and impurities, while the inner seal retains the grease for smooth rotation and long service intervals.
