1955 Mille Miglia - John Fitch Signed - 300SL - Paper Print

The original painting entitled "Gullwing! Qué bella macchina!" features John Fitch's black Mercedes 300SL Gullwing racecar that was driven to a GT Class Victory at the 1955 Mille Miglia.

Only 100 prints were signed by John Fitch, making this a rare item. Each print is also signed and numbered by the artist.

In addition, 317 prints were also signed and numbered by the artist. The entire print run is limited to 417 examples. '417' being John Fitch's starting time (yes, 4:17 am) and race number. This particular way of allocating race numbers was unique to the Mille Miglia. It helped spectators along the route identify the faster cars.
