⌁ Texture & Feel
This is a thick lace yarn with a smooth, soft hand and gentle elasticity. TEN CASH is not suitable for single-thread or two-thread knitting — the fabric will be far too thin and unstable. It performs best when held in 3–6 strands, depending on the desired fabric weight. After washing, the yarn blooms into a cohesive, soft, warm fabric with exceptional comfort and drape. Ideal for sweaters, cardigans, shawls, and luxury basics.
▣ Recommended Uses
Perfect for:
• Multi-strand sweaters and cardigans
• Warm shawls, scarves, and wraps
• Modern, structured garments
• Baby garments and sensitive-skin knitwear
• Lightweight yet warm luxury pieces with Italian refinement
▣ Blending Recommendations
Pairs exceptionally well with:
• Silk — adds drape and subtle sheen
• Cashmere — increases softness and luxury
• Mohair/Silk — adds halo and modern loft
• Merino — enhances structure and resilience
• Alpaca — deepens warmth and softness
Use 3–6 strands of TEN CASH alone, or blend with a fine strand of silk, cashmere, mohair, or merino for added depth and luxury.
⋔ Recommended Needles & Hooks (Multi-Strand Only)
Because TEN CASH is a dense lace, it should not be used in 1 or 2 threads.
3 strands — Light Fingering, approx. 465m/100g → 3.0–3.5 mm (US 2.5–4)
4 strands — Fingering / Light Sport, approx. 350m/100g → 3.5–4.0 mm (US 4–6)
5 strands — Sport / Light DK, approx. 280m/100g → 4.0–4.5 mm (US 6–7)
6 strands — DK / Worsted, approx. 230m/100g → 4.5–5.5 mm (US 7–9)
Crochet Hooks: 3.0–5.0 mm depending on strand count.
⌁ Estimated Yarn Usage (Multi-Strand Construction)
• Sweater (Size M): 200–300 g
• Cardigan: 250–350 g
• Shawl or Wrap: 140–220 g (3–4 strands)
• Scarf or Cowl: 100–160 g
• Baby garments: 60–120 g
✧ Weaving Recommendations (Multi-Strand Only)
TEN CASH cannot be used in one thread for weaving — it is too fine and lacks structural stability.
Use 3–6 strands depending on the desired fabric weight.
3 strands — soft, drapey weft
4–5 strands — ideal for shawls, scarves, and warm textiles
6 strands — fuller, warmer weft for substantial fabrics
TEN CASH works beautifully as weft. For warp, pair multiple strands of TEN CASH with a firmly twisted wool, silk, or merino warp to maintain tension.
Suggested Sett (EPI): 8–12 depending on strand count.
