Elaeocarpus ganitrus, commonly known as the Rudraksha Tree, is a sacred evergreen species native to the Himalayan foothills, India, Nepal, and parts of Southeast Asia. It is highly revered in Hinduism and Buddhism for its spiritual significance. The tree produces distinctive blue, marble-like fruits, whose seeds—known as Rudraksha beads—are traditionally used for making prayer malas (rosaries).
The tree can grow up to 50–80 feet tall, with an attractive dense crown and glossy, green leaves that turn reddish before shedding. It thrives well in tropical and subtropical climates, preferring well-drained soil and full sunlight
