This Polish postage stamp, issued in 1995, features a detailed illustration of the Sessile Oak (Quercus petraea), also known in Polish as Dąb bezszypułkowy. The design shows two brown acorns attached to their textured caps, set against the backdrop of broad green oak leaves. It belongs to a definitive series highlighting Poland’s native trees.
The stamp carries the “B” denomination, which at the time corresponded to the domestic second weight letter rate. Designed by A. Balcerzak and printed by PWPW (Polska Wytwórnia Papierów Wartościowych), it is a fine example of Poland’s nature-themed issues of the 1990s.
For collectors, this stamp is notable for its botanical accuracy and as part of a broader thematic collection on forestry, flora, and environmental conservation. It remains a desirable piece for those specializing in Polish definitives or nature series.
